The Artist

Michelle Leanne Thompson’s love for art blossomed as a young girl as she felt very drawn towards the magical colours and forms within nature. Her desire to play with colours led to  paintbrushes becoming her favorite tool for expression. Later, she would be influenced by the works of Pablo Picasso, Paul Cezanne, Edvard Munch, Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh, Henri Matisse, and Joan Miro.

Michelle would later excel in swimming, which drove her deep into feeling the essence of water - another gateway for heightened perception. Her sublime connection with nature is transmuted into a canvass of penetrating colours that illuminate the beauty of movement in life's tapestry.

The baseline for Michelle's artistic inspiration begins with musical oscillation and sound waves as the foundation for creating movement and vibration, which is expressed within her artistry.

Her primary medium is oil on canvas, using a unique mixture of brush, molding paste and palette knife for texturizing and blending.

Michelle's art takes the viewer on an expansive journey as each piece resonates with an aural frequency of vibrant colours that stirs the spirit and soul.
